Jonnie Horden (J5) is a musical and lyrical gem lying as yet relatively undiscovered in the wilds of the south east. His songs, instantly recognisable for their infectious melodies and smart lyrics, declare a fusion of influences from the songwriting styles of Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the melodic invention of The Beatles down to the deep brooding atmospherics produced by the likes of Radiohead and Interpol.

In 2005, TMD remixed an original recording of Jonnie Horden’s ‘I’m So In Love With You’ into a soulful house record. The track, “So In Love – TMD feat J5”, is a beautifully crafted blend of Jonnie Horden’s original delicate ballad with an upbeat, summertime vibe that doesn’t fail to make you feel good. Under the guidance of Darren Buffonge of Max Roach Entertainment, the remix was snapped up by independent label Elementary Group for commercial exploitation. The track was a massive success in its first foray into the public domain. Touted as a Balearic classic in the making, Radio One’s Blueroom Show were first to spin the new sound on the airwaves in August 2005, shortly followed by Pete Tong on his Friday night Essential Selection show live from Café Mambo in Ibiza. Combined with regular plays on the Spoony show, the track attracted a huge buzz from the so-called ‘taste-maker’ DJs. Indeed, the UK's biggest dance DJ, Pete Tong, having already described "So In Love" as sounding like 90s indie legends 'the stone roses doing house in a way that had everybody in Ibiza swooning', went on to feature the track on his Essential Selection Compilation 2005 (Mercury).

The success of the track was such that the initial release date had to be postponed in the light of growing interest from a number of larger labels. Recognising the hit potential of “So In Love”, one of the UK’s largest dance labels, Hed Kandi have stepped in to license the track for a full scale release in the Summer 2006. Applications for regional licensing have already come in from South Africa and Australia. Already regarded by the dance community as one of the best tracks of 2005, “So In Love” may well go on to enchant a much wider audience in the Summer of 2006.

On the back of this success, Jonnie Horden’s reputation as a songwriter of obvious promise is filtering through the music fraternity. To this point, Jonnie Horden has written, produced and played every part on his recordings and still continues to write songs of a kind of quality that won’t go unnoticed for long.
